The Sock Teller, tells all: Have you ever had a sock go missing? You know, lik...: Have you ever had a sock go missing? You know, like when you put two in the washing-machine but only one comes out. Have you ever wondered ...
But where are my manners, I need to say a little bit about myself before we go any further, after-all, you wouldn't want to hear a story from a complete stranger, would you? Well, I'm known as the Sock Teller, someone who holds the task of passing on knowledge about those slippery socks which go missing. It's an important job, and one which I hold on to dearly...only those people who deserve to know the truth about each and every sock which can't be found are allowed to read the information which follows, only those people who want to know the truth because they want to believe...a simple introduction then from a person with an important role, one bestowed upon me many moons ago by the Grand Council of Socks. Still, you'll hear more about me as you read on, but I always find it polite to begin with an introduction, don't you? After-all manners cost so little, in fact nothing at all but are rewarded countless times over.
So, where was I? Oh yes, at the beginning...
So, where was I? Oh yes, at the beginning...
Have you ever had a sock go missing? You know, like when you put two in the washing-machine but only one comes out. Have you ever wondered where it's gone? I mean, really, there isn't anywhere to escape to is there? There's only one door, only one way in, and one way out...or is there?
In fact there must be thousands of socks all over the country that disappear every year, and never get found again, it's like they never existed, like you've only ever bought one sock instead of a pair. Well, if you want, and only if you want I can tell you where they go; that is the place where your missing sock, or socks sometimes, get to, or should I say go to - on purpose!
Well, you've read this far, so you may as well carry on. Make yourself comfortable and I'll begin.
